LO.1 Understand the nature and purpose of campaign♥

'Sport Relief'

-Sport Relief 2010 has culminated in a phenomenal weekend of fun, with the whole of the UK coming together to get active, raise cash and change lives, it has a unique history of dedicated people doing extraordinary things to make a difference - from David Walliams’ swim across the English Channel, to Eddie Izzard’s amazing marathon a day around the UK.
-All the money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief
to help transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people,
both at home and across the world’s poorest countries.
-The target audience for the campaign is anyone from ages of about 5-80yrs! anyone is welcome to get involved, as all the activity's are suitable for all ages.
-Sport relief have many ways of getting the message across to everyone around, from radio advertisements, to t.v, Internet or just hand outs at school's. this way it gets to the whole target audience, every age will come across it.
-Sports relief is very successful...and here's some of the successful events that went on recently...

  •  thousands of people rised to the challenge of doing the sainsburys sport relief mile
  • A host of celebrities did incredible challenges to raise loads of cash and help change lives.
  • thousands of people across the nation rose to their own challenge by fundraising at work, school or home, or by doing the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile.
  • There was the fantastic night of Sport Relief telly, featuring musical treats, celebrity guests and one-off specials of your favourite shows.
  • Gavin and Stacey’s Smithy again entertained the nation with his unique brand of advice for sporting stars – Jenson Button, the Man U squad and David Beckham, amongst others!
